What do cyclists want from a hostel?

Reasonably priced accommodation

Secure bike storage and bike washing facilities
We have a limited amount of space in the hostel at the moment which is secure within the building – we are aiming to develop outdoor cleaning facilities – contact us for further information.

Free WiFi 
There is limited WiFi within the building – this is an issue which is a result of the location – we are trying to increase speed

Quiet roads
The roads around Wharfedale are generally narrow, but are frequented by many cyclists at all times – there are not many drivers that frequent Park Rash, which is only a couple of miles from the hostel

Availability of off-road cycle routes
The hostel lies within the Yorkshire Dales National Park – so they should be able to advise on suitable routes

Challenging climbs and thrilling descents
Well if its good enough for the Tour D’France and Tour of Yorkshire – It should be good enough for you!!!!!! The tours pass through the village going in various routes

Stunning scenery
What more do you want – it is the beautiful Yorkshire Dales

Bike-friendly cafés for that essential mid-ride refuel
The villages in the Dales all have pleasant tea-houses and cafes during the peak season – it may be worth checking your route to ensure that you are not disappointed

Good pubs for the evening shift
There are a number of local hostelries in and around the villages, come for a few days and sample them all
